I know I have some people with magical theory knowledge among my readers. Is there anything to the theory espoused in this article about a possible break in the Red Sox' curse?
I must say, Boston's a good town in which to have a magical worldview.

As I just replied to someone else, last year Salem witch Laurie Cabot said she had ritually removed the curse "if there actually is a curse." If she is to be believed, then the fact that the Sox lost last year must therefore prove that there is no curse, and that the teen's blood has thus been wasted.

I would disagree here. While Ms Cabot may have attempted to lift the curse, (and I don't know what she did or how she did it), I would say that something that has settled in so far and so deep into the entire city's collective subconscious would need something a little more than one person's attempt.

And I would say that yes, something like this could be viewed as a way to break the curse (if there is such a thing). Or a sign that the curse has been broken.
