A few random thoughts...

Some of you are trying to explain the MIT Mystery Hunt to colleagues, family, and others. The analogy that I've come up with is:
The Mystery Hunt is to solving a crossword at home as jumping out of an airplane with a parachute and a snowboard is to cross-country skiing.

Pick a character or pick several characters that you play in a roleplaying game and describe in a few words that character's attitude towards love.
"Love? Love is something that can happen in many different ways. Hasn't really happened to me yet. My folks grew up in the same caravan, but never noticed each other until they were unloading wine together at a trysting fair. Something in the atmosphere, I suppose."
-Lel Va`asida, Halfling Ranger from the caravans on the southern steppes
"I used to feel love for my comrades in the struggle, not to mention lust. This new world is so confusing, I consider myself lucky to get a beer now and then."
-Karel Jantar, 21st-century communist experimental AI restored from backup by agents of Zion
"I love my father and mother. There was a girl in the mill once near a lumber camp where I worked that I could have felt something for, but she was engaged to a landowner in the next county."
-Fiomido, ex-lumberjack and Fighter
"The meaning of love has been set in the Dialogues. For myself, I have no great need of it."
-Epispeleos, Platonist Cleric
"Love is a good thing if you can get it. So is sex. Right now, I'm a bit busy adventuring."
-Pyotr Kuzmaev, Karameikan Magic-User
And some NPCs:
"Love is a fine tool for manipulating others. I'll do whatever I can to assure I stay out of it."
-Liz Conway, Technomancer
"We sing our love songs in the deep, floating in weightless harmony with our Ocean"
-an Awakened whale whose name I forget.
