On listening habits, home compared with work

At home I have a list of MP3s
defined so that in all my LJ posts
the "Current Music:" line will scan if you
ignore the headless foot that starts the verse.

At work I put on whole CDs, and I
have never bothered to create a mix
of songs that match, much less to burn a bunch.
Instead, I've simply grabbed entire discs
that match the pattern for my workday ears.

Blank verse is fine and all, but honestly!

Well, yes, I guess it is a bit obsessed.
And yet I like the way it makes me choose
some music I don't always listen to.
And doing it at home gives me a glimpse
of how our music library has grown
since last I undertook the exercise.

It's good to be obsessed from time to time.

Although I do not choose to play
along with blank verse week,
I do appreciate the thought
that others give to crafting posts
and think obsession mere delight
in words put down upon the screen.

that time forgot. I guess whatever works...
